I captured Matt and Kat’s engagement session back in May of 2022 @ Northlight Studio in Seattle, Washington.

Matt and Kat are incredible. Both originally from Canada, they’ve made a home in Seattle. As a photographer themselves, M + K photograph primarily on 35mm film. They capture city scapes, nature and each other. It always raises the bar when another photographer reaches out for photos. It’s the biggest compliment.

Some things I like about Matt and Kat:

They have matching Yeezy sneakers, which they both wore for the photos (unknowingly, they just put on a matching pair). Kat smiles so big whenever she talks about Matt. Matt is younger than Kat and they are playful about it, they both are quick to crack jokes about one another. They met at a party in high school. Every summer, they take a family vacation to Banff National Park. Matt proposed to Kat in Brooklyn. Both M + K have laughs that fill up an entire room, the kind that comes from deep within.
